Old Hollywood Starlets on Skis

Back in November, I posted an amazing photo finding of Norma Jean before she was Marilyn Monroe skiing in high heels on the sand. You can review by going back to the post here.

After the news hit of Dame Elizabeth Taylor's death few days ago on March 23, I found an equally amazing picture of her as a young Little Liz sledding.

So then an idea struck and I started to comb the interwebs for more Hollywood Starlets on the mountain - skiing, sledding, whatever. Here are some photographs I found, including the one of Dame Elizabeth Taylor and an additional sand skiing photograph from the Norma Jean shoot. I hope Little Liz and these other beautiful Hollywood ladies are having fun on the big mountains in heaven.

Thanks to myloveofoldhollywood.blogspot.com for many of the photos!

Norma Jean: Skis, poles, and high heels

Didn't every woman ski in high heels back in the day? Ouch if that was the case.

I found this lovely picture of Norma Jean before the world knew her as Marilyn Monroe, posing in skis, poles, and high heels. As you can see, she is also sporting a very sassy bikini like the women do in Spain or other places where the Spring ski weather make them able to do so. Well, Norma is on the beach but we'll pretend she's on the mountain.

This picture makes me very happy.

Ski the Road when the Mountain is not around

It may be the skiing off season in many places around the world, but that doesn't mean you can't ski.  Or at least make art of it.

I found this picture posted on the world wide web.  I don't know any of the facts (the whos, when, where) but I do know it's amazing!  It does have that old-fashion look so I know it was taken before 1980.  However, it could be stylized as such and made to confuse people (like me) and it was really taken yesterday.

If you know any information about this photo, please let me know!
